About the artist
Merilyn has worked in community health for 28 years, with many of those years in Aboriginal community. Through the traumas and difficulties in her life she has found that creativity brings healing. Merilyn is an artist, a writer, a singer, a leader and facilitator but her proudest role is that of being an Aunty. Merilyn is passionate about dogs, kids, social justice, standing up against racism and creating and fostering community. She is known for her wacky sense of humor and her great capacity to love.
Merilyn loves to draw on beautiful paper and loves to create stories about her life. Merilyn is a proud Palawa woman who is humbled and honoured to share her art. Merilyn lives in Healesville and loves it here!
